🍀 Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! 🍀
I thought I would send y'all a sprinkle of green glitter, albeit virtually.
Who doesn't love a good Sea Shanty?! Raise your hands. 🙋♀️
It's a sing-along today with a bunch of fun facts and goodies to follow!
Here we go!
A few fun facts about dear Saint Patrick:
So I did my research, and although I am the first person to question facts or folklore and lean towards the fantastical, it is possible that Saint Patrick - born Maewyn Succat - may be Italian! Saint “Patricus”, (Latin) is penned in two surviving documents attributed to him.
You see, technically the British Isles were occupied by the Romans at one time and indigenous Celts descended from modern-day Italy. Cool. Seeeeeee, finally there is a reason I love Irish Sea Shanties with no ancestral Irish blood.
Love a Good Allegory.
Saint Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland, but Scholars believe the snake story is truly about St. Patrick’s eradication of pagan ideology.
"Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite, and furthermore always carry a small snake." ~W. C. Fields
Okay, this witch won't dive deeper than this, but wishes she could chat with W.C. Fields about this remark.
The Shamrock, called the “seamy” by the Celts and was considered a sacred plant that symbolized the arrival of spring. St. Patrick used the plant as a symbol portraying the Holy Trinity. Honestly a fantastic marketing hook. Let's take an abundant green flower and make everyone think about nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti. Freaking Genius, Maewyn.
It's all about Alchemy this month as we honor in the earth. More on The Willow Path to come... Today, I have a day packed with Oracle readings and Vision Boards.
I put all the green crystals on sale this week : come and get 'em Here!
And now for my Crystal Sea Shanty
Bonus: if any of my lovely crystal apprentices can name ALL the crystals on this grid, I’ll buy you an Elixir, or Guinness 🍻
So there you have it. A fine day with Spring ahead of us. I am sitting in my apothecary writing this all down and literally a flock of geese just flew overhead, seriously! Another song to greet the day. :)
Have a beautiful day.
