Words to Create Harmonious Relationships
I’ve been doing much self-care and self-study lately and waiting for things to thaw and one thing that needs to thaw is our minds. I’ve been silent retreating in my off hours. It’s refreshing to get a little space to grow. Insert "Svadhyaya " one of the Niyamas, the second of the 8 limbs of yoga.
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra says:
“Study thy self, discover the divine” II.44
Here is my study this month:
The Plum Village Podcast "The Way Out is In" A recent episode talked about the "Words to Create Harmonious Relationships" and the "Four Mantras."
Thich Nhat Hanh "crystallized them into pure essence," - just 32 words.
The first mantra is "I hear you."
The second is "I know you are here and I’m very happy for you"
The third "I know you suffer, and I am here for you"
The fourth "I am present while you suffer"
Oh there is much more! This is your work not mine.
Please enjoy this little reprieve from daily life while aiming to be present.
