Little Portals Everywhere:
The 1•11 Portal of Liberation

The other day, a customer came into the shop, and we found ourselves in one of those conversations—the kind that begins casually and then, almost without warning, slips into another realm.

What many of us don’t realize is that there are little portals everywhere—small, quiet doorways that already give us access to what we seek: happiness, connection, compassion, clarity, and healing.

I often speak about the big spiritual portals—Angel Numbers, Lion’s Gate, eclipses, and energetic dates like January 11, the 1•11 Portal.
These moments are powerful because the veil feels thinner and intention feels amplified. But the truth is, magic is available to us every single day. We just don’t always recognize it.

A portal can open when you’re:

• Walking in nature and suddenly feeling peaceful and supported

• Sitting in meditation and losing track of time

• Noticing signs from loved ones who have passed

• Hugging a friend and feeling your nervous system soften

• Dreaming vividly and waking with a message you can’t quite name

Even simple experiences—driving to a new town, trying a new café, or wandering a street you’ve never walked before—can become portals. These are the moments when we step out of our usual storyline and into something expanded, softened, and more alive.

For today, try this gentle practice!

Write down three little portals you already have in your life.

Don’t overthink it.
Just reflect on the past week.

Ask yourself:

• Where were you when you smiled without effort?

• What moment made you feel closer to another emotion, memory, or version of yourself?

• What place felt slightly outside of time?

A portal doesn’t have to be dramatic.
It only has to feel true.

The definition is wide.
It is tall.
And it’s yours to experience.

The I Ching Message for the 1•11 Portal

Hexagram 40 — Xie (Liberation/Deliverance)

And if all of that didn’t quite land for you yet, of course, I pulled the I Ching this morning!

I received Hexagram 40: Xie — Unraveling, Liberation.

Its message is clear:
The portal is open.

This is a moment of release—like rainfall after a long drought. Obstacles begin to dissolve. Tension softens. The path clears not through force, but through letting go.

Xie teaches us that liberation comes when we stop carrying what no longer serves us.

As Bobby Klein so perfectly said:
“Bitterness, guilt, and jealousy are burdens too heavy for this journey. Pack a light bag and move on. Don’t miss the train.”

This is the train.
And it’s called Liberation.

The 1•11 Portal invites idea generation, renewed strength, sweeping change, and forward momentum. Opportunity may not knock loudly—but it is knocking.

If you want to fulfill your desires, you must take the first step through the door.

Leave behind what weighs you down.
Be fully present.
Trust yourself.
And know that the future is beautiful when it is shaped with loving-kindness.
