Upcoming Art Show: Modern Raku by Althea Ceramics
May 16, 2026 | 3- 7 pm.
We are thrilled to invite you into the mystical, clay-woven world of Althea! This upcoming showcase, Modern Raku, brings a striking collection of handmade, fiery ceramics straight into the sanctuary.
Althea's latest work bridges the gap between ancient ritual and contemporary form. The show features a stunning array of mini ritual chalices, perfect for your personal altars and sacred spaces, alongside elegant, one-of-a-kind vases.
Most excitingly, the show will highlight Althea’s signature, abstract slug-flower sculptures. If you’ve been following her journey over the last few years, you know these whimsical, otherworldly creatures have become her beloved trademark style—blending organic, earthy fluidities with a touch of cosmic magic. Each piece is entirely unique, carrying its own personality and vibrant energy.
Come marvel at the unpredictable beauty of the Raku glaze, meet the artist, and perhaps find a new sacred sculpture to take home to your own sanctuary.

Past exhibit still on show: “Scenes from Millay,” an exhibition by Jennifer Llewellyn,

which opened during the Katonah Art Walk on April 18, 2026.

This immersive exhibition is deeply inspired by Jennifer's artist residency at Millay Arts in Austerlitz, New York, the historical surroundings of Steepletop, the estate where Edna St. Vincent Millay lived and wrote. The work explores the intersection of her creative ethic and the natural world that served as her sanctuary.

Hosted in the heart of Katonah, New York, this gallery event highlights the work of visionary artists, Jennifer Juniper and Althea Ceramics,  who explore our deep connection to the earth and spirit through their chosen mediums. Visitors are invited to experience the blending of ceramics, painting, and ritual-inspired art, weaving together tradition and innovation.

Event Highlights:

  • Part of the Katonah Art Walk (April 18, 3-7 pm)

  • Exhibition Opening

  • A celebration of ritual, creativity, and community

  • Free and open to the public in Westchester, just north of NYC

Whether you are an art collector, seeker of beauty, or lover of ritual and symbolism, this exhibition offers a profound moment to connect with art as ceremony.
