The Art of Tarot | Lesson One

The Major Arcana, are the first 22 cards in the deck, otherwise known as “Fate Cards,” represent the soul’s journey through life's key lessons. They represent spiritual growth, and transformational milestones—from Innocence to Enlightenment–The Fool to The World

Your Journey starts now

The Fool's Journey

My first device I use to understand the cards is learning the story of the Fool.

What you will learn in this lesson:

Who is this Fool?

Who is he at the beginning?

How does he change?

What does he learn?

The Fool’s Journey

The Fool’s Journey is a metaphorical path of personal growth, spiritual development, and self-discovery understood through the Major Arcana cards in a tarot deck.  The Fool, who represents pure potential and new beginnings, follows their evolution through trials, lessons, and transformations until they have gathered copius knowlege, and reach fulfillment in The World.

Activity: intro to numerology

Find your birthday/life path number.

Add up all of the numbers in your birthday. For example, Althea's is 03/04/2001

this would be 3+4+2+1=10

Then, reduce that final number to a single digit by adding the two digits together.

This case would be 1+0= 1

1 is Althea's life path number! That means her ruling Tarot card is the Magician.

We use this as a simple way to begin connecting with your deck and understanding the energy of yourself as a reader before your work with others.
