Director + Chief Wellness Officer + Artist
Hi. I’m Jen. I have always believed yoga and mindful practices are like the art I create: a boundless expression of passion, grace, imagination and strength. As a Mindful teacher, I emphasize the physical, intellectual and emotional benefits of art, yoga and meditation both in personal practice and integrated into our daily lives. As a professional artist/designer, I create spiritual images through printmaking, graphic design and mixed mediums for use in products, licensing and exhibitions. I love to hang out at gallery openings so I exhibit widely, and have been juried into many acclaimed exhibitions nationwide.
The CV stuff: I have a BFA in Graphic Design and a Master’s Degree in the Business of Art and Design and was one of twenty students nationwide chosen to pioneer an MBA focused program for entrepreneurial artists at The Maryland Institute College of Art. I am a certified yoga and meditation instructor.
Mix all the above in a tall, frosted glass and today I am the director of Majestic Hudson Exploratory Arts, Yoga & Mindful Experiences, Reflectjen® Style, teach yoga, mindfulness and design regularly, as well as consult for spiritual entrepreneurs and organizations I believe in. You can view my creative portfolio here.
I have lived in Manhattan, in the mountains, and by the sea... and now pretty much spend all of my time gallivanting around the Hudson Valley from Westchester to the Capital Region. I would like to be the next spiritual Martha Stewart but I tend to act more like Tinker Bell at a Grateful Dead Concert - Singing Songs, casting Lovingkindness spells and always equipped with glitter and glue and ink.
It makes my day, when I make someone else’s day.
Current favorites places in the New York Hudson Valley:

Bonicou Crag, New Paltz – Forever a rock scrambler!
Millbrook Winery, Milbrook – Can you say Vinefera?
The Elmendorph Inn, Red Hook – a historical project of mine back in the day

SPACE Yoga was founded by Celia Hirsch as an answer to her vision of an intimate studio offering a distinctively clear approach to classic yoga. She recognized that the practice of yoga is vast in its knowledge and broad in its every day application. A strong believer that knowledge is power she was determined to teach in a way that anyone could understand. For her, yoga is an art to master and a lifestyle to adopt.
